Tilcomp is Efficient, Reliable, Functional, Accessible and now Eco-Friendly

Being aware of the importance of sustainable development, we determined sustainability policies in 2015. In this direction, we have been working continuously since 2016.

We have determined the objectives of our sustainability policy in 3 stages.

1. Tilcomp working environment.
2. Installation, training and support processes of our software.
3. Our software, our products.

We are happy to have accomplished most of our goals at the beginning of 2021. From now on, we will continue to do better for the environment and sustainability.

Tilcomp Working Environment:

Our first goal was to make our production environmet sustainable. In this direction, we renovated our building and replaced our equipment with environmental friendly ones. In addition, we have taken steps to ensure that our employees adopt an environmentalist lifestyle.

• We have completed the exterior and roof insulation of our building..
• We replaced all our flushes and taps with water-saving ones.
• We transferred the rainwater pipes from the sewerage to the rainwater collection channels.
• We replaced all electrical appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, tea and coffee makers with minimum A+ electricity consumption class.
• We changed our lighting system from general lighting to low consumption LED lamps and regional lighting.
• We have renewed our high electricity consumption desktop computers with portable models with low electricity consumption processors and SSD disks.
• At the end of working hours, we are shutting down our computers insted of sleep mode. Also to turn off our second monitors.
• We are unplugging the chargers that we do not use.
• We no longer print promotional products such as flyers, catalogues, calendars, and notepads.
• By voluntarily switching to the e-invoice system, we reduced our use of invoice paper and cargo bags by 95%.
• We are keeping all non-essential documents electronically.
• We have renewed our vehicles with hybrid and AdBlue features with low fuel consumption and low CO2 emission models. With the widespread use of electric filling stations, we decided to switch to fully electric vehicles in the next change.
• We are sending all unused battaries for recycling.
• We are sending all our electrical or electronic waste for recycling.
• We are sending all our non-hazardous and recyclable waste for recycling.
• We started working to produce compost from tea, coffee and food waste.

Installation, Training and Support Processes:

We took action to reduce fossil fuel consumption and therefore our carbon footprint (CO2 emissions).

• We trained our team and completed our infrastructure investments so that installation and support can be done remotely. We are now able to do 90% of these transactions remotely.
• We had decided to hold the system analysis and development meetings remotely, now we are holding 70% of our meetings with video conferencing system. We aim to increase this rate in the future.
• We have invested to our infrastructure so that our employees can work from home when they do not have to come to work.

Our Software So Our Products.:

We have started working to make our software environmentally friendly. Our goal is to provide the lowest energy consumption that can be achieved in computers and data storage centers and to raise awareness of end users who use our software. Since the beginning of 2020, we have developed all our software in accordance with the following criterias.

• We have aimed to develop algorithms that can keep the number of processes at a minimum number in the design of our software.
• We have started to design databases that prevent duplication of data.
• We are constantly testing and comparing old and new versions of our software in terms of performance, reliability, effectiveness as well as sustainability, and our R&D department is constantly working to do better.
• We have started to store rarely used or old data in archive files by separating them from the existing system, in order to reduce the number of transactions and data processing time.
• We are no longer sending documents such as reports, forms, receipts directly to the printer, instead we are opening them in PDF format. We are encuraging users to review and store them electronically instead of printing.
• We've made our standard to have the recycling mark on all printed documents.

Code of Ethics

Tilcomp is a well-established organization which regards commitment to ethical values.

Integrity, responsibility, and respect for individual rights are fundamental to the company’s affairs with its employees, suppliers, customers, shareholders and all other stakeholders. The Company is aware of its social and economic roles as a corporate citizen and takes economic and social development into account while carrying out its operations.

In this framework, ethical principles that embraces the Tilcomp Corporate Governance, are defined as follows:

Integrity

Integrity is essential to all internal and external affairs and processes of the organization.

Confidentiality

All employees are obliged to keep confidential any information of which they are aware of regarding related parties and other employees. This information shall be used only in compliance with laws and regulations and shared only with authorized persons. This liability shall continue even after the termination of an employee’s connection with the company.

All information and documents, trade secrets, financial and other information not disclosed to the public, personnel information, and confidential information included in the agreements signed with third parties are treated as trade secrets to be protected.

Tilcomp shows the ultimate attention to the protection of personal information of all stakeholders. The company does not interfere with the personal lives of its employees. Personal information of staff members shall be used only in case of necessity by authorized persons and within the limits of pre-defined authority.

The company shall take the necessary measures to protect all documents and confidential information that employees access due to their positions or in performing their tasks, even after termination of the employment relationship. The company signs non-disclosure agreements with lawyers, independent auditors, tax advisors, credit rating agencies, and other service providers who have access to company information for business purposes.

Conflict of Interest

Possible instances of conflict between individual interests and the interests of the company or its related parties shall be monitored and avoided. Employees must prioritize the interests of the organization above anything else and avoid any action or behavior in fulfilling their responsibilities that could serve their personal interest or the interests of their relatives, using the organization’s resources or reputation. Company employees shall make the utmost effort to avoid abusing the organization’s resources and to protect the name and reputation of the Company.

Our Responsibilities

The Company shall pay the maximum attention to fulfilling its responsibilities, which are listed below, towards its customers, employees, suppliers and business partners, competitors, environment, all its stakeholders and society.

Responsibility for Compliance with Laws and Regulations

The Company, its employees and contractors are obliged to carry out all activities in accordance with the laws and legislations of the country where they operate in, both in-country and abroad. It is forbidden for the Company's employees and contractors to make financial or in-kind political donations or contributions on behalf of the Company in any of the markets they operate.

All forms of bribery are prohibited, under any name.

It is forbidden to conduct payments of any kind to public officials to facilitate and speed up Company’s operations.

Information, documents, and records regarding these operations shall be kept on a regular basis, shall be complete and safely stored. Any type of report, presentation, financial statement, or explanatory notes to be disclosed to the public or presented to authorities by the company shall be prepared accurately and transparently with maximum attention to laws, regulations, and company policies.

Responsibilities Toward Customers

The employees are aware of their responsibilities to meet the expectations of customers and satisfy them with high quality of service. Customers shall be served professionally with commitment to the principles of integrity and fairness. The employees shall strive to understand the needs of customers and assist them with motivation and respect.

Responsibilities Toward Employees

The Company shall treat all employees impartially, fairly, and without prejudice and create a safe, healthy, and efficient work environment. The company provides equal employment opportunities and does not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, task, or title in hiring or career development. The Company seeks to provide personal development opportunities that positively affect employee performance. Employees’ rights arising from relevant regulations shall be fulfilled promptly and accurately.

Responsibilities Toward Suppliers and Business Partners

The Company shall treat its suppliers and business partners with integrity, respect, and in good faith, and shall comply with its legal obligations.

Responsibilities Toward Competitors

Tilcomp takes the utmost care to ensure the development of the sectors in which it operates, to pursue common interests together with all players in those sectors and to protect trust in those sectors. The company avoids unfair competition and acts within the framework of ethical rules and fair competition principles.

Responsibilities Toward Environment and Societ

The company operated with awareness toward social benefit and environmental awareness, and aims to reach the highest standards of environmental awareness. The company avoids violation of environmental rules that might damage the health or rights of employees, customers, and people living in the areas where it operates. In all its activities, the company aims to minimize potential adverse effects of its operations on the environment and takes measures to prevent pollution. Consumption of natural resources shall be kept to minimum possible levels

Within the framework of its social responsibilities, Tilcomp supports education and social responsibility projects, as well as activities to increase environmental and cultural awareness and benefit the public. The Company shall be sensitive to the traditions and cultures of the countries in which it operates, adapt to social structures, and avoid any action that may have a negative impact on the social environment.

Our Environmental Policy

Tilcomp acts in accordance with the following principles in order to ensure the sustainable success of the Environmental Management System:

Developing people-friendly and environmentally-conscious projects.

Operating in compliance with all environmental legislation and other obligations in force and developing practices beyond legislation.

Evaluating the environmental risks and impacts of all Logo operations from a risk-based approach and sustainability perspective and establishing action plans in order to reduce and eliminate the effects of these risks.

Minimizing waste and resource consumption.

Fulfilling the Environmental Management System’s requirements and ensuring its continuous improvement.

Reducing waste at the source in all offices, and recycling as much as possible.

Raising awareness on climate change and supporting the cause, and in this respect, reducing energy consumption and intensity, and greenhouse gas emissions, and increasing energy efficiency.

Promoting efficient use of natural resources; water being the top priority.

Protecting natural resources by using technologies that have minimum impact on the environment, considering technical and economical capabilities.

Reducing natural resource use, preventing pollution and increasing energy efficiency.

Ensuring the recycling of waste such as paper and plastic generated during operations, and designing and implementing a recycling action plan.

As per our continuous progress efforts, minimizing the use of natural resources and increase environmental awareness.

Reducing our overall impact on environment by taking into consideration the environmental impact of our projects.

Managing air emissions in compliance with legal requirements.

Discharging wastewater conforming to the legal framework and to improve water quality in accordance with international standards.

Establishing emergency action plans to reduce and mitigate the environmental, health and safety consequences of accidents.

Creating an environmentally-conscious corporate culture and raising awareness in cooperation with all our employees, customers and stakeholder.

Raising employee and stakeholder awareness on environmental issues.

Encouraging employees, business partners, and all members of Logo ecosystem to operate in an environmentally responsible way.
